Chocolate Fruit Mince Tarts

Everyone loves fruit mince tarts and these little morsels have the added pleasure of choc bits – dust with icing sugar for a truly festive indulgence!

How to Make

1. Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan forced; lightly grease 2 x 12-hole patty pans.

2. Place butter, flour, icing sugar, NESTLÉ Baking Cocoa in the bowl of a food processor and process until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add egg yolk and water and process until mixture just comes together. Gently knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth. Shape into a disc; wrap in plastic; refrigerate 30 minutes.

3. Roll dough between two sheets of baking paper until 3mm thick; use a 6.5cm cutter to cut out circles from the pastry. Carefully press the circles into the base of the pans. Combine fruit mince and NESTLÉ MINI Milk CHOC BITS in a small bowl; mix well. Divide equally between pastry cases.

4. Reroll remaining pastry; use a 4.5cm star shaped cutter to cut 24 shapes. Place over fruit mince. Bake 25 minutes. Cool; dust with icing sugar to serve.
